About the site
It's funny how long it took me to think of even making this site, because it seems so obvious in hindsight. Of course I would want to make a site talking about my beloved MMO characters. Really, I should have done this a lot sooner.
In truth, this isn't the first version of this site. I made Carrds for Cálei and Reis before this, and while it was very easy to put them together, I wasn't entirely happy with what I'd made. Part of me is still very old-school: it feels like cheating to use a site builder, even a modern one. Making websites has been one of my hobbies for over 20 years. Surely I can put something together myself?
That's not to say that using Carrd is bad by any means: it's a great way for people to throw together a quick site, especially when just starting out. But because I have so much experience with web design, I really felt like I needed to make something of my own. I do still use Carrd for some individual character profiles because it's easy to put them together for roleplaying purposes, but I wanted to make something more indepth for my main characters.
Also, credit where it's due: I probably wouldn't have made this site at all if I hadn't visited Crystal's (formerly zeruda.org) site for her MMO characters back in the day. I might not have even thought about making it! Thanks for trailblazing.
I really blanked when it came to naming this site; unending journey is therefore kind of a placeholder. Maybe I'll think of something more fitting in the future?
I had a lot of fun making this layout! It relies almost entirely on resources from Creative Market, which I've used before, but not this extensively.
