Aurore was actually the very first alt I made after Cálei. She originates from one of my original works, in which she was a gossipy, busybody baker. She is not and has never been a particularly serious character; Aurore is very much an outlet to be kind of obnoxious in an endearing way.
However, when I first made her, I was much less committed to the idea of maintaining multiple alts. (Famous last words...) I leveled her a bit and worked on her, but after a while I renamed and Fantasia'd her to a different catgirl in hopes that it would ignite a fresh spark. And while I got attached enough to the new catgirl to not Fantasia her back, I always wanted to play Aurore again.
So in 2024 I remade her and accepted my fate to make a lot of extremely pink glamours. Aurore is a delight to work on, and I will likely be playing her a lot through 2025. Sometimes you just want to be a catgirl.
Aurore was abandoned as a child and ended up in Gridania. Traveling Ishgardian merchants took her in and raised her as their own. Aurore's upbringing was very well-to-do and left her with a rather warped view of the world, making her a bit vapid, selfish, and oblivious. Deep down, however, she genuinely cares about people.
Aurore's greatest love is baking, and she did an extended apprenticeship at the Bismarck in Limsa Lominsa to learn the ins and outs of the trade. While there, she learned how to wield an axe in order to defend herself while gathering raw ingredients... and enjoyed it a little too much. Do not make her angry, she will Fell Cleave you.
Eventually, Aurore opens a bakery/patisserie, mostly funded by her parents. While she's terrible at bookkeeping, she does her best to stay afloat.
I have always had this idea that, during her time in Limsa Lominsa, Aurore befriended a wild goobbue who proceeded to follow her around. There's just something about goobbues that pair perfectly with her.
